SALEM, NH - David A Chapman, 76, of Salem, NH, passed on Sunday morning, December 9, 2018.

Born April 8, 1942 in Lynn, MA, he was the son of the late Donald H. and Violet (Sims) Chapman. Dave graduated from Saugus High School and was a lifelong construction electrician retiring from New England Power Service Co. in 1998. An Air Force Veteran and member of the Elks, Dave enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid outdoorsman spending time hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Most recently he spent a great amount of time in Maine. He loved being with his grandchildren, family, and friends and was the life of the party.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Clare (O'Connor) Chapman along with four children and spouses, Bill and Nora Chapman of Bristol, CT, Chuck and Heather Chapman of Hudson, NH, Yvonne and Denis Bourassa of Dracut, MA and Heather and Scott O'Brien of Methuen, MA; eight grandchildren, David, Paul, Nathan, Victoria, Kayla, Denis Jr. (DJ), Brayden, Amber and two great-grandchildren, Allison and Shawn; also survived by his brother, Donald H. Chapman and spouse Florence of Marion, SC; niece Virginia and Les Leary; and predeceased by his nephew Donald H. Chapman.

Visiting hours to celebrate Dave's Life will be held on Thursday, December 13, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com

Rich and I have so many great memories with your husband/dad/grandfather. He was a great man and we always had so much fun with him. He will be very missed, but our memories wil live on. Our deepest condolences to all the family.

I met Dave at the Solon Hotel a few years back.He was always a joy to talk to.My husband is also an electrician so they had plenty to talk about.We will miss him. R.I.P. Dave.
