Tribute & Message From The Family

HAVERHILL - Adam W. Vencis, 37, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill after his three-year battle with metastatic melanoma.

He was born on December 7, 1981 in Melrose to Donna (Woodland) Vencis and the late John "Jack" Vencis. He was the eldest of three children. Adam was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 2000 and then joined the workforce, specializing in sales.

Adam, or as his friends knew him, "V", loved being outdoors doing anything from fishing, camping, hiking in the White Mountains, having cookouts with his family and friends and of course golfing. Adam was always the life of the party, most infamously known for his "Cotton Eyed Joe" dance moves! He loved taking his children fishing and hiking at Winnekenni Castle and spending time surf casting at the beach.

Adam is survived by his loving mother, Donna of Haverhill (formerly Saugus); his adored children Jackson and Addison and their mother, his former wife, Christine Jackson all of Haverhill. He also leaves his sisters, Ashlee Vencis and her significant other Jesse Schoop of Jacksonville, NC and his youngest sister, Amanda Vencis and her fiancé Mike DiPietro of Kingston, NH and his only nephew, their son Maxx. He also leaves behind many close friends, loving in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 10, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main Street, Haverhill from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. It will be a time to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course just chat. Services will begin at 6:00 PM followed by a gathering Celebrating Adam's Life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the High Point Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830. A place that gave tremendous care to Adam. He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present than the living man. You will be greatly missed by many Adam. I love you.

My deepest sympathy at this very sad time. Will cherish the memories I have of Adam as a student in my classes. Thought highly of him and knew he was truly a great kid. The years passed and I became aware of his illness. Am thankful he had this special time and memorable trips with his children and Christine. Thinking of all of you and you will remain in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. I truly am very sorry for the loss of Adam.

Thinking of you and your family at this time. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Adam about Jackson during school events and a baseball game. His love for his children and family was amazing even when he wasn't feeling his best. Memories were made and moments embraced.
