Condolence & Memory Journal

I'm so heartbroken to hear about your family's loss and happy to know he was surrounded by his family that was clearly so important to him n the last moments of his life. Randy had a huge impact on my childhood and I have so many memories. Humphries' Hurricanes is still one of the most important childhood activities I participated in and think the fun and lessons I learned from your dad played a large part in the person I am today (in addition to the re-kindled love I found on the soccer field about eight years ago and the lessons I bring to my students in my elementary school each day). He was a wonderful teacher to a young me and I'm grateful for the kindness and leadership he consistently showed to me in our formative years. I loved reading that he loved being a grandpa so much and so very overjoyed to know that he got to see two of his daughters be moms. Sending our condolences. xoxo

I first met Randy when we were in a musical at 7 Hills School; I was in 6th and he in 8th grade. We got to know each other well in High School and his first year at Cal. What warms my heart is that he and Cathy had a long and happy family life. He was one special and unforgettable guy!

Randy was a lifelong friend and high school classmate at Nevada Union. I treasured his friendship; and value my memories of his kindness, smile, great athleticism, and intelligence. With great sorrow for your loss.
