Obituary for Charline (Spencer) Henry

June 16, 1949 - October 2, 2018
Haverhill, Massachusetts | Age 69

HAVERHILL – Charline A. (Spencer) Henry, 69, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill.

Charline was born in Lawrence on June 16, 1949, daughter of the late Roland and Arline (French) Spencer who raised four girls. She was raised in Methuen, and attended St. Anne's High School, Lawrence and graduated from Merrimack College.

She was the loving wife of Douglas Henry, whom they have shared almost 28 years of marriage. Charline worked for many years at Merrimack College with Campus Ministry where she enjoyed volunteer service trips with the ministry which filled her heart. She also worked at Endicott College and currently with Hilton Oil in Lawrence. Charline was an "Event Coordinator Extraordinaire," and the "Planning Director" for her family and friends. She always wanted to make sure all were having a good time. Her activities included musical theater, time at the beach and the mountains to name a few, but most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends. Charline was a woman of great faith and will be deeply missed by all. Their son Bobby would not be the man he is today without the loving guidance of his mother who taught him patience and to love everyone.

In addition to her cherished husband Douglas, her surviving family members include her son Robert "Bobby" Henry of Lincoln, NH; loving sisters Marilyn Provencher and husband Vincent of Methuen, Maureen Pilch and her late husband Frank of Salem, NH and Justine Marsan and husband Paul of Methuen; her best friend Helen Anderson and husband Paul of Salem, NH; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
